Our goal is to operate openly and transparently throughout the entire supply chain. We require a responsible approach from both our own personnel and our partners. We expect all our suppliers and subcontractors to adhere to ethical business practices, comply with legislation, and uphold the principles of sustainable development. Our aim is to ensure that services are delivered with respect for the environment, human rights, and working conditions

Long-Term and open collaboration
We carefully select our suppliers, and when we enter into a procurement agreement, we hope for a long-term partnership. Good collaboration is built on mutual respect and transparency.

At Luotea, we respect our working community and partners. Our aim is to ensure that our operations are as open, transparent and fair as possible. To uphold good business practices, we are committed to actively addressing any misconduct or violations related to us.

Ethical principles for suppliers
- Responsibility and ethics are fundamental principles of our operations. Our Code of Conduct sets out clear expectations for our personnel and supports sound decision-making in everyday work situations.
- All our employees are committed to following these principles, and we expect the same from our partners. In our procurement agreements, suppliers of goods and services commit to complying with Luotea’s Code of Conduct. We require that responsible practices extend throughout the entire value chain – including subcontractors and other partners.
Self-assessments and audits
Self-assessments and audits are a key part of Luotea's supplier evaluation process.
- We monitor our suppliers' compliance through a regular self-assessment questionnaire, which assesses suppliers' practices in governance, environment, occupational health and safety, quality, and supply chain management.
- We participate annually in the international EcoVadis sustainability assessment, which helps us identify and improve our operations while considering various aspects of responsibility. We also encourage our suppliers to participate in the EcoVadis assessment.
- We conduct supplier audits based on risk assessments. The aim of these audits is to ensure that our suppliers comply with the agreed quality, responsibility, and safety requirements. Each audit results in a separate report for the supplier, outlining jointly identified deviations and the related action plan. The report serves as a foundation for continuous improvement and collaboration with the supplier.
Reducing carbon emissions
- Luotea’s climate objective is to achieve net zero across the entire value chain by 2045. This will be accomplished in collaboration with our partners. Since 2022, we have been calculating the emissions generated throughout our value chain (Scope 3), the majority of which stem from purchased goods and services.
- Our target is to reduce Scope 3 emissions by 20% by 2030 compared to the baseline year of 2018. We have developed a climate roadmap outlining short-term goals and the specific measures to support progress. We require key subcontractors to report emissions generated during service delivery, enabling us to gain a clearer understanding of our overall impact.
- We engage in active dialogue with our key suppliers to reduce emissions, and we also expect them to set their own emission reduction targets.
Gifts and hospitality in procurement
Our personnel are committed to adhering to the guidelines regarding gifts and hospitality in procurement. These guidelines help us operate responsibly and equitably while avoiding risks related to bribery and conflicts of interest.
- An L&T employee may give or receive a one-time gift from a supplier with a maximum value of €50 or hospitality valued at up to €150.
- The total amount of gifts given to or received from the same supplier in a calendar year must not exceed €100.
- In competitive bidding situations or during other collaboration or contract negotiations, we do not give or receive hospitality.
Safety is part of every partnership
- At Luotea, safety is the foundation of everything we do – including procurement. We want to ensure that every workday ends safely, whether it involves our own employees, subcontractors, or business partners.
- We require all our partners to adhere to the same high safety standards as Luotea’s own personnel. Safety is not just a requirement; it is a shared way of working that builds trust and ensures sustainable collaboration.
- We also encourage openness and proactive action: reporting safety observations and assessing risks help us identify hazards early and prevent accidents. In addition, we regularly audit our suppliers to ensure they meet Luotea’s safety requirements and operate responsibly.
- Together, we create a work environment where everyone can perform their tasks safely and with confidence.
Report misconduct
Through our reporting channel, Luotea employees, customers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders can report suspected misconduct related to our operations, such as breaches of legislation or Luotea’s Code of Conduct.
